EA Sports has removed the old FIFA catalogue from digital stores. The move coincides with the release of the first EA Sports FC game…
Electronic Arts has apparently removed the entire back catalogue of FIFA from digital store shelves on consoles and PC. As spotted by Twitter user MauroNL, the EA Sports FIFA titles are no longer available for purchase on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Nintendo eShop, Steam and Epic Games Store until FIFA 23 last year.
The FIFA 23 webpage on EA’s website has not yet been updated accordingly. This means that users are currently being directed to dead links or store pages for unavailable products. Although FIFA 23 is no longer available for purchase in digital stores, it remains playable with an EA Play membership.
It is unclear when all games will be removed from sale. Several people have contacted EA for comment on the news. So far, no response has been received.
“At the request of the publisher, EA SPORTS FIFA 23 is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search,” reads an update on the game’s Steam page.
According to SteamDB, the game was removed on September 21 2023, at EA’s request. That’s one day before the publisher launched the first entry in the successor to the FIFA series, EA Sports FC.
Although FC 24 will not go on general sale until September 29, early access has been available since September 22 for customers who purchase the Ultimate Edition of the game.
EA announced last May that it was ending its nearly 30-year partnership with FIFA. It also announced plans to launch a new football series.

EA's annual football game, now called EA FC, no longer sports the FIFA name in its title. All prior entries in the series have been delisted from all major storefronts.
