MOVIE NEWS – Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare follows the evil version of the titular character and expands Jagged Edge Productions’ “Twisted Childhood Universe.”

Looks like there’s going to be a bloodbath in Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare! New set photos for the upcoming horror remake hint at a bloody experience. And we expected nothing less, considering that the film comes from Jagged Edge Productions. From the same team that turned Pooh and Piglet into cold-blooded killers in the Blood and Honey movies. It seems that now is the time of Peter Pan…

Screenshots from Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare director Scott Chambers’ Instagram story (captured and reposted on X by user @KillerChainsaw9) show two images from the first day of filming.

The first image shows a light green dress soaked in blood, suggesting a violent encounter. While the second image tones down the gore, there’s still an unsettling vibe as we see a lone teddy bear that appears to have been dropped and left on the floor. The film joins Jagged Edge Production’s ever-growing “Twisted Childhood Universe,” which presents our childhood favourites in a whole new light. In the upcoming movie, an adult Wendy tries to save her brother from the clutches of a monstrous version of Peter Pan. Meanwhile, Tinkerbell is addicted to drugs. Chambers, who most recently appeared as Christopher Robbins in Blood and Honey 2, spoke to The AU Review about the upcoming film, mentioning the movie that inspired his creative vision.

Jagged Edge hopes to unite Twisted Universe characters for a bloody showdown after Peter Pan

Jagged Edge (helmed by Chambers and Blood and Honey director Rhys Frake-Waterfield) expands the Twisted Childhood Universe with even more public-domain characters. The indie production group is currently working on Pinocchio: Unstrung and Bambi: The Reckoning.

Frake-Waterfield recently revealed what their endgame will be: Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble, a movie that unites all the villains for “total carnage.”

Frake-Waterfield’s Blood and Honey brought in $5.2 million at the box office on a $50,000 budget. The film’s sequel was made with a much larger budget of $1 million. Although the film received generally unfavourable reviews, it fared much better critically than its predecessor (which received a 3% rating on Rotten Tomatoes…). A third film with a bigger budget is already in production. Of course, it’s highly unlikely that Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble will reach the budget numbers of the MCU. Still, Frake-Waterfield compared the “bigger budget” of the crossover to The Avengers…
