Will The Elder Scrolls VI Be “Boring”?! It’s Not Even Out Yet, and Already They’re Attacking the Game!

The Elder Scrolls VI is already under attack, but die-hard fans have come to the defence of the game…

The Elder Scrolls VI will take players to Hammerfell. Some fans have come out defending the decision against those who think it will be a boring venue.

For those who don’t know, the next Elder Scrolls game will be in stark contrast to the previous parts. The location will be the desert Hammerfell, which may seem rather dull at first glance but is historically and culturally rich.

Some fans disagreed with Bethesda’s choice of location.

They think it’s going to be another boring video game desert with nothing to see or do.

It is not a complete desert landscape but a large part of the area. Reddit user ffylgijaear joined other fans to convince sceptics that TES6 will offer more than endless sand dunes.

The post read: “‘Hammerfell will be boring because it’s all just desert’ Deserts are more than vast sand dunes, and there’s more to Hammerfell than the Alik’r. I hope this helps.”

Other fans agreed. One of them pointed out that “Hammerfell literally has deserts, tropical jungles, savannahs, prairies, temperate areas and even the northernmost area looks like Skyrim’s Reach.”

Another added that “people saying that are just not understanding Hammerfell. It is not just desert.”

One fan even pointed out that “Fallout New Vegas is in the Mojave desert”, and no one seemed to mind.

It’s fair to say that the last few years have seen the birth of some impressive video game deserts. Just look at the Gerudo Desert in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom or Egypt in Assassin’s Creed Origins. This type of venue can be a lot of fun if built right.

Hopefully, we’ll get an actual look at the world of The Elder Scrolls VI sooner rather than later, as Bethesda has yet to show us official gameplay at the time of writing.
