Metal Gear games without Kojima, Konami confirmed

Yesterday we mentioned how Hideo Kojima is going to leave Konami, which is followed by today’s news piece saying Konami continuing the Metal Gear
franchise without him. Of course, Kojima will give his best effort into the September 1-dated Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to have a good high ending note at his Konami tenure, but it’s still impossible to see what the future has for us in store after that.

For many fans, Metal Gear will officially die after The Phantom Pain, so it seems like Konami might drive another franchise into the ground (after Castlevania and Silent Hill), but let’s wait until September first – hopefully we’ll get to know where Kojima and his team goes by then…
