Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition: Nero – The young brother

Nero the series’ new protagonist look a lot like Dante, and his sibling Vergil, which is not a surprise as Nero is a descendent of Sparda. Nero received a special gift from Sparda a demonic arm, that he always tries to hide when he goes out to the streets. Nero is younger compared to Dante, and is just as reckless and quick to act as Dante was in the first DMC. Nero in the beginning of the game is a member of the Order of the Sword, although he clashes with them multiple times because the way he acts against the leadership, and the disrespectful way he acts during ceremonies. His only love is a young girl Kyrie who is important for him.

Special ability: The Devil Bringer

Nero’s right arm since his birth due to his demonic heritage has sharp claws, and glows with a bluish light. Of course this is not a good feature to pick up ladies, but it is a much more effective weapon during the game. Thanks to the devil bringer, our enemies can be lifted up, down, or right or left. Not only is this really fun to do ingame but it is highly effective. The other ability of the Devil Bringer is that it allows us to reach impossible heights, and unreachable locations, or to jump over abysses. The most fun part of the combat in DMC4 is using the Devil Bringer.

Weapons

Nero does not just use his Devil Bringer in combat, he also has weapons similar to Dante. The Blue Rose is an elegant revolve which is very different compared to Dante’s pistol. The more extravagant sword is called Red Queen. In terms of combat versatility Nero is much more limited compared to Dante when it comes to the sword and the pistol, but this countered the by the use of the Devil Bringer.
