The Last Guardian is pretty much a bedtime story, because once upon a time back in 2009, it was introduced, and then it disappeared and reappeared and so on. Still, having received a trailer and a release date window on the E3 was the show’s one of the biggest surprises. The Last Guardian is going to hit the PlayStation 4 on 2016 as an exclusive title. We can also add that Sony has set high expectations for the game already…

Although Team Ico‘s previous games, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus were both really good games (both eventually got a PS3 re-release in a collection too), but the sales weren’t that good for either. The Last Guardian must get profit, because there’s a lot of money spent and to be spent on this project. The question is, how will the game be affected by this seven years of development hell by the time it is going to be released? No answer for that yet. Here’s the E3 trailer for the game, which was good… unlike the cover art, which looks kinda hideous with that plain white background…
