Ubisoft: “Dumbing down Watch Dogs was a VERY bad idea!”

Remember Watch Dogs? Remember, how good it looked… before it got released? The 2014 May final version (and this was delayed by half a year) looked uglier than the builds, that were shown during E3s. This is going to change, if we can believe the company’s CEO.

Yves Guillermot, the CEO of Ubisoft had an interview in The Guardian. In it, he states that he is sorry for toning down the graphics of Watch Dogs from the E3 presentation builds. So, it’s not surprising that he wants to change this. From now on, the plan is to show those playable builds as is, so players will be able to see something similar – or better – in the games’ final forms. That means no prerendered and PC builds.

It’s an honourable thing to do, but we will have to wait and see, if Guillermot sticks to his word on it. If their games will be released in playable form (we’re looking at you, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate!), then we can definitely admit that they want to change.
