Mad Max: PlayStation 4 versus Xbox One – which one is better? [VIDEO]

Digital Foundry has compared Avalanche Studios’ Mad Max (which was released on September 1) on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. However, there aren’t many differences between the two, because both ports barely drop under thirty frames per second, and they keep the 30 most of the time, with pretty much similar visuals. (Interesting, they weren’t able to push the 60 out again…)

But there’s still a big road to walk on, because Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has set a quality standard in the console optimization. Both current-gen consoles are easily able to keep the stable 1080p/60fps, thanks to the FOX Engine – it was already seen in Ground Zeroes that Kojima’s game is really reaping performance thanks to this engine. (And the optimalization is stunning on the PC too – this should be a lesson to everyone!)
