The Assassin’s Creed movie has started filming – some story bits are known as well!

Borderlands movie, Mega Man movie, Grand Theft Auto documentary, Assassin’s Creed movie – there’s a lot to watch in the near future. Now, Assassin’s Creed’s film adaptation has been confirmed to be in production. It’s being recorded on the island of Malta. We know that two actors will definitely participate: Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of the Future Past) and Marion Cotillard(The Dark Knight Rises) are confirmed to be in it. If we can believe the rumours, Frenchman Denis Ménochet will also take part in the movie as a Templar.

Fassbender will play as Callum Lynch, a descendant of the Assassins. As soon as his genetic memories are revelaed, he and his powers will be able to take the fight to the Templars and eventually win in the end. Don’t judge the movie by this, it’s pretty much just the basic concept of the storyline. At least we know who will the Assassin be in the movie – it’s better than nothing. The movie will launch in the cinemaes on December 21, 2016. It won’t tell us the story of one of the games, instead, it will introduce new characters to Ubisoft’s franchise. Let’s hope that the movie will be up to Assassin’s Creed Syndicate‘s standards.
