Earthquake-protection for PlayStation 4? Yes! [VIDEO]

The Japanese creativity knows no boundaries: this time, they presented a gadget for the PlayStation 4 and the Wii U, which can protect the console(s) from earthquake damages. As the earthquakes are quite regular around Japan – especially recently! -, it makes sense.

Here’s Cyber Gadget’s Pro 7 Seismic Mat. This mat was made wiith urethane gel, and with it, the mat is able to keep the PlayStation 4 stable in a vertical stand (too) even during earthquakes. Seeing how if our hardware can be damaged if fallen (which can happen during even lower magnitude earthquakes), it is quite useful. Cyber Gadget have also made a presentation to prove their item: the PlayStation 4 stood still even during a magnitude 6 earthquake. Not bad, it shows how useful the Pro 7 Seismic Mat is.

The price was also announced: the Pro 7 Seismic Mat costs 1200 Japanese yen, which is converted to around 11 US dollars. Not bad pricing! Maybe it’s a good idea to import one, especially on the West Coast.
