Capcom is working on a Resident Evil CG movie!

Milla Jovovich fans beware, Capcom wants to make something different for now about Resident Evil. They have teamed up with Marza Animation Planet in order to make a full length CG movie to be shown in cinemas later. According to the information of Inside, the executive producer of this project will be Takanori Shimizu (creator of Ju-on), the director will be Takanori Tsujimoto, and the script will be written by Makoto Fukami (who also wrote scripts for Psycho-Pass recently).

We can expect a complete reboot, however, the characters are all familiar, as Resident Evil will have Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers as the main guys and gal. How good it will be? We can’t answer it yet, as it’s slated for a 2017 release worldwide, so it’s quite some time until we see some new footage of the movie. We have pretty much one thing to expect: as long as it has some nods here and there to the classic games, we should be set to have a good game, right? Not much to ask, after all…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
