DOOM: Weapon list leak from the closed alpha

Another leak? Nowadays it’s not even surprising in the slightest, because pretty much every single AAA title are subjects to this. So, seeing how id Software‘s DOOM, which is having a closed alpha, has its weapon list leaked, we aren’t even raising our eyebrows about this. This says quite a lot about nowadays’ video game culture…

So the weapon list is the following: Static Cannon, Super Shotgun, Plasma Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Repeater, Frag Grenade, Personal Teleporter. For us, it is very familiar to another id Software title, because looking through the list – and checking the weapons’ designs as well -, this absolutely reminds us of Quake! Is that going to be a problem, though?

In the closed alpha, there is only one map and one game mode (we already wrote about this earlier), but looking at the information we have, it seems that DOOM might be very appealing for veteran shooter-fans – and that might be a very good move.

DOOM launches in the first half of 2016 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
