PlayStation 4: Over 9 million in the United States

Another milestone was reached by Sony‘s PlayStation 4, as it managed to sell over nine million consoles in just barely two years in the United Sales, which unsurprisingly topped the PS3‘s performance – although its biggest problem at launch was the six hundred dollar price tag. The PS3 got four and a half million sales in the same time period, which is just fifty percent of the PS4‘s results. That is not so bad so far for the current-gen console!

The ten million number will likely be blasted through before 2015 ends, which would be a remarkable result and we see it very likely to happen. After all, there will be Star Wars Battlefront and Call of Duty Black Ops III bundles for the PS4, both will likely going to boost the sales, not to mention the recent price cut to 350 dollars, making the console available for a much wider audience, also likely to raise the PS4‘s sales. We can only congratulate Sony for this result – and seeing how 2016 will have more exclusive games, the next year might get even better results for Sony.
