It’s just gone official! Konami closed its Los Angeles studio indeed!

Another case of a rumour becoming true – a few days ago, we wrote about how Konami silently put a lock onto its Los Angeles Studio, formerly known as Kojima Productions Los Angeles before the company restructure. This is now officially closed. Are we surprised? To be honest, absolutely not…

This studio was opened back in 2013 in order to make Metal Gear Online. In their heydays, there were sixty employees working here, but before the lockdown happened, there were still 20 workers, and since Metal Gear Online is out for everyone except PC players (who will have to wait until 2016), Konami felt it’s pointless to keep them alive. (And the PC finishing touches are being handled by the Japanese studio, so at least this is in safe hands for now.)

Seeing how Kojima left Konami in October – which was denied by Konami in a ridiculous manner -, the Japanese company slowly starts to remove the traces of the known producer, famous for his Metal Gear, Policenauts and Snatcher games.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
