Fallout 4: Did it dethrone Call of Duty Black Ops III? Yes, it did

Call of Duty: Black Ops III ended up being dethroned by Bethesda‘s game, according to the publisher’s data. They announced several amazing numbers about Fallout 4, which was released on November 10 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Bethesda Game Studios’ product literally jumped off the shelves and into the customers’ baskets. That is no exaggaration!

According to Bethesda, Fallout 4 shipped 12 million copies, plus it also generated 750 million dollar revenue in this short time frame – this covers both physical and digital sales, therefore PlayStation Store is also part of this number. With this result, Fallout 4 has the best game launch of 2015, booting Black Ops III off from the top spot, making Activision’s kingdomship temporary. If we add the fact that the collector’s edition (the Pip-Boy Edition) became the fastest selling collector’s edition in history at „leading retailers”, well… we can only clap!

Congrats, Bethesda, it looks like Fallout 4 has some chance to catch up to Grand Theft Auto V in sales – who knows, maybe this game can pull it off!
