PlayStation 2-emulation: The first games announced [VIDEO]

We appreciated the announcement of Sony bringing PlayStation 2 games’ emulation to the PS4. We also wrote a detailed opinion article too about this subject. However, it looks like we’re going to be disappointed a little bit. But before we move onto that, let’s take a look at the first games coming to the PS4, as well as their price tags:

• Dark Cloud — $14.99
• Grand Theft Auto III — $14.99
• Grand Theft Auto: Vice City — $14.99
• Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas — $14.99
• Rogue Galaxy — $14.99
• The Mark of Kri — $14.99
• Twisted Metal: Black — $9.99
• War of the Monsters — $9.99

So these would be the first eight games available on the PlayStation 4. You can get them from the PS Store today. Despite having 1080p upscale, trophies, Shareplay, Remote Play and the option to display the game manual on a second screen, the money won against the veterans and their game collections. There was an accidentally posted Dark Cloud video, which also pointed out that the emulation won’t support PS2 games and PS2 Classics on the PS3 either. No comment.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
