Lionhead: Sony steps in!

We’re still shocked after Microsoft‘s sudden and unfortunate announcement about getting rid of one of its biggest names, Lionhead – this team worked on the Fable games, just to name one example. However, Sony didn’t want to see the employees become jobless, so they decided to step in with a move that might be beneficial to both the devs and the Japanese company.

On March 14, Sony Computer Entertainment will hold a job fair in Guildford for the ex-Lionhead members. The developers can write a Twitter DM to set up meetings with the Sony devs. Each developer of SCEE will have a representative at the fair.

Let’s admit it, it’s a fair move on Sony‘s end – they don’t want to see the Lionhead-talent end up wasted, plus this announcement lights them in a positive manner, making Microsoft the big bad guy. Therefore, an A+ for Sony for marketing. Let’s hope both parties will find solutions to work together.
