Can Fable Legends Be Still Saved?

Fable Legends was a title that we believed to be buried already. Microsoft Studios previously announced that Lionhead Studios – founded by Peter Molyneux – would be closed shortly and because of that, their in-progress Fable Legends would also be shot down. Or is it…?

According to MCV, there are talks about continuing development! Instead letting Lionhead‘s team go, they want to continue work on Fable Legends as an independent developer. We have still yet to see how that could work out – who owns Fable as an IP at the moment? Microsoft – as expected – doesn’t comment at all. They just repeat what they have said when announcing the closure of Lionhead, so we don’t want to repeat that.

Fable Legends is scheduled to be shot down on April 13 on both Xbox One and PC. We’ll see on Wednesday what happens: if the game disappears entirely, Microsoft probably banned work, if not, perhaps Lionhead continues independently from MS.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
