Is Siren Heading To The PlayStation 4? [VIDEO]

The Siren series (which was called Forbidden Siren in Europe) was a decent survival horror franchise a decade ago. Its last installment at the moment is 2008’s Blood Curse, which was split into twelve episodes, acting as a reimagination of the first game. The PlayStation 3-exclusive from Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio might be coming back, but now on the PS4!

The game has popped up on the Korean Rating Board (you can check for yourself here.), so something might be in progress at SIEJ. We don’t know if it’s going to be a remaster, or just a simple current-gen port. It’s still a good omen, though: Blood Curse was somewhat ignored, especially because it started out as a PlayStation Network-exclusive when the PSN wasn’t as gigantic as it is today. If we also add that Keiichirō Toyama, one of the key people behind Silent Hill, was the director behind the Siren games, there might be a key to success.

As a reminder, here’s a gameplay video from the PS3 original:

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
