The PlayStation 4 won’t have a smaller life cycle because of the NEO

While we’re about halfway through the current console generation, Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida has assured us in his interview with Gamewelt.TV that we shouldn’t be worried. While there will be a stronger PlayStation 4 available for purchase, the NEO will not cut the life cycle of the base model shorter.

The situation is the same as with the Xbox family: the Project Scorpio will not replace older models; it will just be an extra member of the line-up. The PlayStation 4 NEO has been rumored to launch by the end of 2016.
