Even Shuhei Yoshida Thinks No Man’s Sky’s Marketing Was Bad!

If no other than Sony Worldwide Studios’ boss talks about your game in a somewhat negative manner, then maybe it’s time to rethink your future…

Yoshida pointed out that many features, such as multiplayer or the possibility of meeting up with other players haven’t been implemented in the game.

In his interview with Eurogamer, Yoshida said the following: „I understand some of the criticisms especially Sean Murray is getting because he sounded like he promised more features in the game from day one. It wasn’t a great PR strategy, because he didn’t have a PR person helping him, and in the end, he is an indie developer.”

Despite bashing the game from a marketing aspect, „Shu” enjoyed the game, and he doesn’t think that No Man’s Sky flop would harm the PlayStation brand in the long term. Still, it might be the first time we see a Sony higher-up talk about Hello Games‘ game in a not-so-positive manner.
