PlayStation 4 Pro vs. Project Scorpio: The PR War Continues

It’s Microsoft‘s turn to talk about gaming in 4K resolution.

Yesterday, we heard Sony‘s thoughts about upscaled 4K games via Andrew House (although he said that only (?) the majority will be upscaled on PlayStation 4 Pro, not all titles). Today, it’s Shannon Loftis‘ turn – she’s Microsoft Studios’ publishing general manager. Quoting her from the interview with USA Today: „Any games we’re making that we’re launching in the Scorpio time frame, we’re making sure they can natively render at 4K.”

However, Sony cornered Microsoft with PlayStation 4 Pro, as it launches on November 10 for 399€/$. While the „greens” consider the Project Scorpio as a premium device, they can’t put the price much higher than what the PS4 Pro offers.

Let’s also add Andrew House‘s (Sony Interactive Entertainment’s boss) response to Microsoft‘s jab about the Xbox One S having 4K Blu-ray support. „I thought it was quite intriguing given that we’d seen a year of stories about “a new and different Microsoft” in terms of their attitude towards the competition. That was rather short-lived, wasn’t it?”

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
