Geralt Appears On An Unexpected Item In Poland

CD Projekt RED‘s series, The Witcher, is widely popular around the world, so it’s not a surprise that the character, who is based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s creation, is getting a „reward” in Poland.

The Polish developers announced that Geralt will show up in stamps in Poland. Poczta Polska will manufacture 180.000 stamps, and it’s likely that fans and collectors will snap up a large amount in a few weeks.

The Witcher got attention in different ways as well in the past: in 2011, the then-Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk gave a copy of The Witcher 2 to USA’s President, Barack Obama. Three years later, when Obama visited Poland, he mentioned that he wasn’t that good at the game, but he still mentioned Geralt.

Geralt has become one of the key characters in gaming altogether, and it’s nice to see Poland treat him in a positive light.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
