Banjo-Kazooie‘s spiritual successor continues to impress us.

After the very successful Kickstarter-campaign, Playtonic Games (formed of mainly key Rare staff members) began to update us at a regular rate about how the game’s development is faring. That’s the reason why they presented a 25-minute gameplay video straight from EGX. Hopefully, the early 2017 release date (PS4, X1, PC/Mac/Linux, Wii U) won’t be delayed multiple times.

The surprise character is none other than the Shovel Knight. This game was one of the first ones that showed that you don’t have to get insane amounts of money from crowdfunding to have an excellent retro platformer game. Yacht Club Games, the developers of Shovel Knight, allowed Playtonic to include the Knight on every platform!
