„No Man’s Sky Was A Mistake” – Or Was It?

Hello Games‘ servers got hacked, so there were a few events regarding the developers of No Man’s Sky.

Everything started with this tweet by Hello Games‘ Twitter profile: „No Man’s Sky was a mistake.” It was submitted via LinkedIn, but not long after its publication, it got deleted, and the account was set to private, too. Then, another tweet came by Sean Murray, the „head” behind the game: „If anything was a mistake, it was using Linked In without 2FA (two-factor authorization – the editor).” Followed by „Server hacked. We’re binging (sic!) Mr. Robot Episodes as quickly as we can looking for answers. Ep05 is a cracker.”

A suspicious email was sent to Polygon, where „Sean Murray” wrote how the game was released in an incomplete form after pressure from Sony, making them cut content from No Man’s Sky.

Hello Games wrote this a few hours after the incident, though: „100% not hacked anymore… obviously those mails and that tweet were fake. Back to work.”

Hello Games is in trouble – they are inspected in the United Kingdom for false advertising, and even Shuhei Yoshida, SIE Worldwide’s boss, had a few negative words about Sean Murray‘s pre-release campaign. They just can’t find a break, can they?

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
