On the NeoGAF forums, the following images have surfaced, taken from this German website. The difference between the two platforms are noticeable. While it’s understandable that the „CPU box” was supposed to take some weight off the console’s back, seeing the VR headset used on a PlayStation 4 Pro looks perhaps way better than most have expected.
The PlayStation 4 Pro model will launch on Thursday for 400 dollars/euros/350 pounds, and we’ll likely to see more improvements in other VR games in comparison to the regular PS4 or PS4 Slim models.
Still, the situation feels like SEGA from two decades ago: Mega Drive/Genesis + 32X + Mega/SEGA CD, only this time, it’s PlayStation 4 Pro + PlayStation VR.
