Ubisoft's Sci-Fi Game Is Real, But It's In Trouble

It seems that Watch Dogs 2’s easter egg with the secret game reveal is no fluke.

Sources close to Kotaku claims that the Watch Dogs 2 mission, where players infiltrate Ubisoft San Francisco to sell off a video game trailer to a website isn’t just a joke with no substance – that sci-fi themed game exists!

Ubisoft‘s new game is currently called Pioneer. However, during development, some issues surfaced. Originally, Pioneer was supposed to be announced in 2017. Also, Ubisoft replaced multiple leads on Pioneer, which is currently being retooled.

If we had to guess, Ubisoft was likely inspired by No Man’s Sky, but when that game hit the stores in an unfinished format, the French company went into panic mode and started to transform Pioneer…

This sci-fi game‘s future looks bleak at the moment.
