Sony Might Bring In A Great Function For The PlayStation Network

Sony‘s plans were revealed via something that isn’t entirely connected to the PSN.

Unreal Engine 4.14‘s out, and in its patch notes, the 4.008.061 version of the PlayStation 4 SDK is mentioned. On the NeoGAF forums, the investigation found that Sony updated its developer recommendations to allow users to be identified by their account ID, as opposed to their Online ID.

Sony could be preparing for a change that would allow us to change our name on the PlayStation Network. It is a thing that a lot of people would appreciate, although it could be creating chaos if someone switches the PSN name way too often.

With some limitations, the implementation could be hugely successful. Perhaps a major firmware update will have this function.
