Is Blizzard Working On A New FPS?

Blizzard is working on something other than Overwatch in the first-person genre.

On the company’s job listings site, we see that Blizzard is looking for two lead software engineers for an „unannounced project that utilizes a robust first-person engine.” They are required to have experience in previous first-person games.

For Blizzard, Overwatch the first… well, FPS game at least, as they have never done anything similar up to now. From the listing, we can’t figure out what they are doing at the moment. Will it be an expansion, or perhaps a sequel to Overwatch? Will it be a brand new game? If it’s the latter option, will it be based on Warcraft or Starcraft? If it ends up as a Starcraft FPS, we will look for our jaws on the floor, and the term „zerg rush” would get a different meaning!

In the past two years, we saw Blizzard look for people to work on Diablo-related projects, and who knows what they are up to with this listing.
