Marvel vs. Capcom 4: Very Likely To Be Revealed At The PlayStation Experience

Polygon joins the party and says that the game is real, and it will be released shortly, too!

As Polygon‘s sources claim, Capcom‘s unannounced game has been in development for a while, and its reveal will happen during PlayStation Experience, where the Street Fighter V‘s 2016 championship will end as well.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, as well as Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, were released in 2011, and the sequel might drop in 2017 with Marvel characters from recently popularized movies. Therefore, Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers cast will likely to be playable characters, and the big missing team would be the X-Men. That would be an interesting decision, as the X-Men were already in a fighting game in 1994 (!) called X-Men: Children of the Atom.

Perhaps Capcom has renewed its Marvel license, which ended in 2013. The comic book company would gladly see a sequel, especially due to fan demand. We’ll see in a few days if Capcom does reveal the game or not.
