The PlayStation 4 Reaches 50 Million Sales

Sony‘s PlayStation 4 reached another milestone in 2016.

Sony’s announcement says that their console has reached 50 million sales by December 6 (it includes PS4 Pro sales as well!). We wrote about the 40 million milestone at the of May, so the console pushed the total sales up by 25% in half a year. Sony can also look at game sales positively as well: until December 4, including both physical and digital sales, 369.6 million games were sold – roughly 7 per console average. Not bad.

As we’re still in the holiday rush, reaching 55 million isn’t out of bounds for the PlayStation 4, especially with the Slim model, which is cheaper, making it a viable console for a wider audience.

Congratulations!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
