Is Eternal Darkness Coming Back On The Switch?

Nintendo is up to something.

The Japanese company has filed for trademarks for the third time after 2010 and 2013 regarding Eternal Darkness with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. In case you’re not familiar with the name, it’s a 2002 horror game on the GameCube. The trademark timing looks awfully ominous this time around, though…

There might be an announcement regarding Silicon Knights’ game next week during the Switch presentation. It’s likely going to be tied to the Nintendo GameCube-compatibility (Virtual Console), but who knows, it may even get a full-fledged remake if Nintendo does want to open up a bit from the family-friendly PR.

We’re going to find out everything shortly.
