Another Game Is Unlikely To Get A Switch Port

After Borderlands 3, carve yet another title on the list which has games that will be unavailable on the Switch.

Resident Evil 7‘s producer, Masachika Kawata thinks that his game is probably not getting a port to the new Nintendo platform. In his interview with Express, he said that the Switch is a unique hardware, and he’s curious to see what it can do, but currently, no plans are on the table to port RE7 to it.

Still, it might eventually happen, as Nintendo’s and Capcom’s relationship has always been decent – one such deal was Capcom Five – 5 games made for the GameCube exclusively. Resident Evil 4, which might get re-released again this time on the Switch, was first developed for Nintendo’s hardware a decade ago, followed by 15-16 ports to other systems.

Capcom’s bigwigs might force the devs to get on the Switch train with Resident Evil 7, but seeing how 5 and 6 never got ports to the Wii and Wii U respectively, there might be nothing materializing. At least Capcom’s employee didn’t break out laughing like Respawn’s when he was asked if Titanfall could get ported to the Switch.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
