Double Fine‘s game will not be self-published.

Tim Schafer managed to strike a deal with Starbreeze, who have been respectable as a developer (the two Riddick games, the two Payday titles, and Syndicate, to name a few), and they also started to publish others’ games, such as Dead By Daylight. Psychonauts 2 will be their second published game in 2018 digitally on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The publisher confirmed that their $8M investment would come back 100%, and they will take 60% of the revenue altogether. It’s weird to reveal information like that, as it should rather be kept as a trading secret…

Meanwhile, you can pick up the first Psychonauts in the PS2-to-PS4 line-up, and Rhombus of Ruin, a PlayStation VR-exclusive that is meant to be a tie between the two numbered titles’ plots, will also launch later this month.
