CD Projekt RED Is Worth More And More

The Polish company’s reputation and value continue to grow.

CD Projekt RED has become one of the fan favorite gaming companies, thanks to mainly two things. One of them is The Witcher franchise, and the other one is GOG, a digital storefront where you can buy games without any DRM, meaning that you can play them without any internet connection required at any time.

Since 2015, one share‘s price has jumped by over 400% – and going by the image below, this tendency doesn’t seem to stop just yet. On the NeoGAF forums, the users have counted that their market cap is now over 1.6 billion dollars, which makes CD Projekt RED worth more than Capcom (!!!) with its 1.38 billion dollars. Seeing how the Polish company went into the one billion territories last summer, this is an impressive result!

The Polish company will eventually become a major player in the worldwide gaming industry, and their success shows how you can be a well-regarded company on the market if your local government doesn’t stop you at every single corner.

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
