Code Vein: God Eater’s Developers Strike Again [VIDEO]

Prepare to Dine – Bandai Namco‘s teasing is now over.

The Japanese Famitsu magazine has revealed what the publisher was hyping last week. Code Vein is for those players who love dungeon crawling action-RPGs.

In the game, you get to control the Revenants. These are vampires with super abilities, evolved from humans, but losing all their memories in the process. If there’s a lack of blood for them, they turn into the monsters called the Lost.

If you are knowledged in Souls games, we don’t have to talk much about the gameplay: single handed or great swords, or other weapons for melee combat. Siliconera has mentioned two more keywords:

Blood Veil – The Blood Veil is an equipment unique to the Revenant, used to suck up blood from the Lost. While in use, it appears in the form of clothing, and also functions as armor. While in use to suck up blood, it uses a mechanism for the purpose, and we see a change in the user’s mask as well.

Special Ability: Blood Smelting – This action becomes possible after acquiring blood from the Lost after successfully sucking up their blood using Blood Veil. It allows you to power yourself up, debuff enemies, do direct attacks, and other uses.

The staff includes Keita Iizuka as the producer, Hiroshi Yoshimura as the director, and Yusuke Tomizawa as the project leader. Code Vein is 35% complete at the moment, and it will launch next year. This was the teaser video:
