XCOM’s Creator’s New Game Is Funded: It’s Going To Be Made! [VIDEO]

Julian Gollop‘s Phoenix Point is on the right path.

XCOM’s creator is crowdfunding his game on Fig, but it managed to get the required amount of 500 thousand dollars to be developed. Oh, there’s still 35 days left!? Indeed…

In an update post, the developers revealed the first two stretch goals at 650 and 850 thousand dollars, respectively. Quoting the descriptions:

„Deploy vehicles to tactical battles for carrying troops and providing heavy weapons support. They can also be used for retrieving equipment and materials in raid missions, and for safe evacuation of soldiers or civilians in danger. There will be multiple construction options and a variety of weapon turrets available.”

„A floating fortress [called Phoenix – the editor] which can travel by sea and conduct air operations inland from coastal areas. Such bases will be exposed to danger from seaborn mutants generating some tense defense missions, but the additional strategic flexibility of such a base will greatly help in mid to late game. It will also allow the player to discover some of the most hidden secrets of the alien agenda, deep inside the mist.”

The game looks just like XCOM, but with a horror tone. Nice – you can still help fund Gollop’s game, which should be out on PC by the end of 2018.
