Battlefield 1, With A New Addition

After the Battlefield 1 DLC, the combat on the battlefield will not be fought by men only.

DICE and Electronic Arts revealed on Twitter that the next DLC, called In the Name of the Tsar would bring four new maps, Russian weapons, soldiers, and vehicles, as well as a female soldier with its Scout class.

The female soldier is referring to the 1st Women’s Battalion of Death, formed in 1917 by the Russian Provisional Government to boost the war morale and their chances to win. Although there were female soldiers in the army before, this battalion was the first time to include women only. Thousands of women have fought the Germans. (It didn’t result in much success, though – the Bolshevik Revolution pulled the Russians-soon-to-be-Soviets out of the war.)

In The Name Of The Tsar is going to launch in the late summer, and we’re likely going to see it during EA Play for the first time.
