Remedy: P7 Will Not Be A Throwaway Title!

The Finnish developers don’t want to create a „one-time usage” game.

Eurogamer had the chance to talk with Sam Lake, the face of Max Payne, who is now working for Remedy as a creative director. He said the following regarding P7:

„Well we are exploring the idea of: we want to retain the strong storytelling and strong characters and strong world-building that we have done in the past, but also we want to find ways for the players to be able to spend more time with an experience that it’s not just played once through and then you are done in a weekend. Exploring ways to expand that side of the thing without losing what we feel that we do well.”

Remedy hasn’t been focusing on multiplayer in their games. We already know that they are interested in cooperative multiplayer and that P7, utilizing the Northlight Engine, would be published by 505 Games. Perhaps the publisher will help them expand their ideas.

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
