Bandai Namco and Level-5 decided to take out their visually appealing JPRG out of the end-2017 game rush.

Akihiro Hino, CEO of Level-5 (who recently had some interesting comments about RPGs) announced in a video that their original date of November 10 cannot be achieved by the developers, as they need more time to polish the game. Instead, we should look for the new Ni No Kuni from January 19, 2018, on PlayStation 4 and PC. Oh well, at least we’re going to have one decent title early in the year.

Hino also stated that the game would have no multiplayer whatsoever: he misunderstood a question in an interview, and he stated the actual situation regarding multiplayer’s existence, while deeply apologizing for his mistake.

If the singleplayer part is great, the game can become successful – even The Witcher 3 was offline only, and it still managed to sell extremely well…
