Dragon Quest XI Heads West! [VIDEO]

Unsurprisingly, the new, numbered Dragon Quest main episode is going to be localized.

XI brought out a unique approach, as it launched today on PlayStation 4 and 3DS (!) in Japan, but Square Enix now confirmed with the series’ creator, Yuji Horii, that the game would be out in 2018 in the West under the name Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. The twist is that they did not mention which platforms will get a localization out of the PS4/3DS/Switch trio (the Switch port comes out at a later date!), so we could only just guess that.

Don’t be surprised if the JRPG will leave one platform Japanese-only – Square Enix might be looking at the local sales of the ports to see which should get an English version… but if we had to guess, our money would be on the PS4/Switch ports.
