The Sinking City: Lovecraft’s Inspiration [VIDEO]

Frogwares‘ (Sherlock Holmes games!) next project is still insanely hopeful.

The Sinking City was announced in March 2016, but since then, we haven’t heard much about it, so no release window/target platforms are known. Quoting their website, „The Sinking City is a game of investigation and mystery taking place in a fictional open world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. The player steps into the shoes of a 1920s private investigator who finds himself in the city of Oakmont Massachusetts, New England. A city, suffering from unprecedented floods of clearly supernatural origins. A city, trembling on the brink of madness. Can you survive this beleaguered town and untangle the mysteries responsible for its tragic situation or will you be driven beyond madness yourself?”

As this game is confirmed to be the developers’ biggest project, we can’t wait to see more of Oakmont City and knowing their inspiration in Lovecraft/Cthulhu, it might be an outstanding game when it launches.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
