Bioware’s One Of The Most Influential Designer Has Passed Away

Corey Gaspur‘s work has been known for decades.

The sad news showed up on Bioware‘s blog, which shocked the entire developer team. Corey Gaspur has worked at Propaganda Games (known for Turok) before joining Bioware in 2008. He worked on Sonic Chronicles, Dragon Age: Origins, and Mass Effect 2, but with Mass Effect 3, he was already the lead combat designer, as well as being responsible for the multiplayer.

Gaspur has stepped up even higher with Anthem, as he was the lead designer for this project, which is going to be a sci-fi shooter. How much will the team be affected now that Gaspur is unfortunately gone? We hope it will not end up in shambles as Mass Effect: Andromeda did (which folded Bioware Montreal into EA Motive, no less…).

May he rest in peace.

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
