This Game Has Been In Development For Twenty Years… And It’s Now Available!

This game entered development in 1997. Two entire decades ago!

The game that we’re talking about is Grimoire, which you can find on Steam here. Grimoire: Heralds of the Winged Exemplar even looks something which has been made in the Windows 95 era.

The RPG was, apparently, inspired by franchises such as Wizardry, Might & Magic, Lands of Lore, Anvil of Dawn, DungeonMaster, and Eye of the Beholder. It sounds good on paper, but allow us to quote the top rated review at the moment: „windowed mode is bugged and causes black screen, can’t close window […] full screen has black borders on left/right and you can’t alt-tab to other processes […] user interface is old-school in a bad way […].”

That already sounds like a botched game, but there’s one more thing: on Indiegogo, the release date was scheduled to be in May 2013. Late by over four years, eh? What a shame.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
