Another Yakuza Game Is Coming To PlayStation 4!

SEGA and Sony continue the involvement with the franchise (which is slowly getting popular in the West).

The Taiwanese (!) PlayStation Store has prematurely listed the game, but it was removed since then (and that’s why we won’t link it!). The game is called… Yakuza Kiwami 2. That’s obviously a leak, as there’s a presentation happening on the 26th, where SEGA will announce new titles for the series. Well, we now know one of those!

According to Gematsu, the PlayStation Store listing said that Yakuza Kiwami 2 would be the remake of Yakuza 2 on the PlayStation 4, utilizing the Dragon Engine. The first Kiwami, which is out on the 29th in the West, is the same deal, just with the first Yakuza game.

The first two Yakuza games already got a port in Japan… on the PlayStation 3 and the Wii U (!) – however, this time around, we’re likely going to get Yakuza Kiwami 2, which wasn’t the case the 1 & 2 HD a few years ago.
