Telltale: Don’t Expect Borderlands And Game Of Thrones Shortly, But…

…there may be a chance for another license. Who knows?

Job Stauffer, Telltale‘s head of creative communications, was interviewed by Eurogamer, where he had a quite short answer regarding the second season of Game of Thrones launching in 2018. It’s on hold – they might be waiting for the TV series to end to see how they should continue. Instead, we’ll get The Wolf Among Us Season Two, as well as the fourth, final season of The Walking Dead next year.

Tales from the Borderlands? They simply have no plans for that at the moment, even though it was highly regarded (we liked it too), but unfortunately, it didn’t bring in enough money (we wrote about it previously), and cash moves the gaming industry at the end of the day.

Stauffer also said the following on PCGamer: „What would I like to see Telltale do? I’m proud of the work that we’ve gotten to do over the years, and a lot of the surprises we have in store, but personally, and this isn’t something that we’re doing, I’ve been a big fan of Black Mirror and Charlie Brooker’s work. [It’s] a phenomenal, phenomenal series. It’s a mind-blowing anthology with every season. This is my take, please don’t confuse this with something that we’re doing, but Charlie, if you’re out there, we would, I would love to do something on Black Mirror.”

Black Mirror is a psychological drama, techno-thriller, which is moving towards its fourth season. Maybe Stauffer will pull an adaptation off for us!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
