Akira Yamaoka would be happy to work on a new Silent Hill

The Japanese artist is also willing to join the mythical Silent Team, although it does not depend on him.

The great composer Akira Yamaoka would love to return to work on a new Silent Hill next to the creators who gave rise to this mythical series of terror, but the producer of the saga during some of his most remembered chapters makes clear that this does not Is something that depends on him.

“I really can not say whether or not there will be another Silent Hill. First of all, I’m happy that the fans of the saga around the world keep asking about it. Personally, of course, I would love to see it happen, but obviously, I can not say if it will,” said the Japanese artist during the last Gamescom 2017.

When asked about the possibility of bringing the Silent Team together, Yamaoka made it clear that he is not opposed to it. “But it’s hard to say because everyone has evolved, and their mentality may have changed as well. Technology and the video game industry, too, are different.” So, he adds, “even if we meet again, I’m not sure anything big could get out of there, so it’s hard to say right now.”

Remember that Silent Hills, the video game of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro, was going to be the new episode of the franchise but Konami finally decided to cancel the project.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
