Need for Speed Payback clarifies how the character change works [VIDEO]

Each character is specialized in one type of mission.

One of the most significant changes that Need for Speed: Payback brings to the traditional formula of the series is the inclusion of three characters in an open world whose control you can toggle, in a similar way as already happened in GTA V. However, it had not gone much deeper into this subject until today.

In an interview with PlayStation Access, William Ho, creative director, explains that, in fact, the point of switching between Tyler Morgan, Mack and Jess has to do with their own background and personal skills. “You choose the races, events, and missions you want to play. “If you want to do a resistance race you can play it like Tyler. Then you go on a mission and say ‘I have to get these thieves out of your house’ and switch to Jess, then you go to a drift event and you play like Mack, “explains Ho. “Each of these characters expresses what they want to achieve, their own motivations.”

We’ll have to wait until November 10 to see how each driver performs on Need for Speed Payback asphalt on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
