Yes, launched: it’s already available on the PlayStation Store!

Sony pulled another Final Fantasy game out of its hat at Tokyo Game Show: after silently getting rated by PEGI in Europe yesterday, Final Fantasy IX was announced today, and, in fact, Square Enix‘ game is already available on PlayStation 4. PlayStation Plus subscribers can pick the game up with a 20% discount for roughly 17 dollars. Quoting Gematsu regarding the features:

• High-definition movies and character models
• Auto-save functionality
• Seven optional booster features, including high speed mode and no encounter mode, the Master All Abilities booster, which will allow players to automatically master equipped weapons and gear, as well as features to maximize character levels, magic stone counts and gil
• PlayStation 4 trophy support, share functionality and remote play with the PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system

If you purchase the game, you’ll receive eight PlayStation Network avatars, as well as a custom PlayStation 4 theme designed by Toshiyuki Itahana.
We’d rather hear about the Final Fantasy VII remake, to be honest…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
