Team Ninja: Dead Or Alive Is Not Dead! [VIDEO]

The team made an announcement… but it wasn’t what we expected.

After NEC 18 ended, Team Ninja took the mic for a four-minute video, which involved a few of the main devs behind Dead or Alive. Yosuke Hayashi, the brand manager, thanked the support, adding the fact that Dead or Alive 5 is not supported anymore. Yutaka Saito, the art director of the franchise, said that he is hoping to work on more games, as the past five years since the launch of DoA 5 meant a lot to him. Yohei Shimbori, the director, confirmed that Dead or Alive 5 is now left behind.

The video almost sounded like that they are done with the Dead or Alive franchise, and we felt that they started to work on Dead or Alive 6… but for next-gen platforms. They might also be approaching the next title with a new aspect.

We can only guess, but thanks for everything, DoA 5

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
